Happy Mother's Day

Recently my daughter-in-law won a contest for doing what she loves - teaching! Today there are some who view the profession as a difficult career choice, with little reward. But for those who dare take on the waters, it remains fulfilling. This Mother's Day piece is dedicated to Natalee Cleveland, for all that she represents as a teacher, but especially on this ocassion what she represents in her family role as a mom.
When I first met Natalee, more than 15 years ago, she was dating my youngest son. She was always kind and polite, with a big smile. Here we are 10 years and two grandchildren later, it is my delight watching the young mom wear many hats and juggle work, school, sports, and home life, in her own creative style.
Natalee, we are so proud of you. My son and grandchildren are blessed to have you in their lives . . . and I appreciate you for being such a special member of my family.
